The required core courses, may be taken in any sequence:
- Seminar in Cultural Heritage Preservation
- Historic Preservation: Architecture, History, Programs, and Policy; students with background in American architecture already should be encouraged to take the second course: Development and Preservation in Large Cities: An International Perspective
Elective courses can be selected from CHAPS courses and additional courses listed under “Courses that are not Core Courses." They include courses originating in the Department of Art History and courses anchored in other departments and units.
Prerequisites to the individual courses must be met by those enrolled in the certificate program.
